Active as a Percussion Artist, Composer & Educator, Aaron Abrahamson Cote has experienced our world through music. With 5 international tours under his belt, he has worked with The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, Glenn Kotche of Wilco, Alex from The Gaslight Anthem, ska legends The Skatalites, Bim Skala Bim, Vic Ruggiero from The Slackers, King Django, Murphy's Law & numerous television and Broadway Actors. Cote has been televised on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, & PBS, and performed on multiple regional and National Public Radio (NPR) stations.
Cote wrote over 50 tunes in 2013. His book, Sea Breeze, was released through prestigious Steel Pan publisher HillBridge Music, and re-released alongside his second collection Chasing Summer through Tropical Shores Productions. Many of the tunes have been performed internationally.
As the health crisis shut down many events in 2020, Cote maintained his full time work ethic, replacing what had promised to be a full performance schedule with months of composing. Aside from several new steel pan works, Cote began writing calypso for kids, and started Songs of Scripture, a project that sets verbatim Bible text to music.
As an educator, Aaron Abrahamson Cote has presented diverse workshops for numerous organizations, camps and schools reaching students from ages 1 to 100!
Mr. Cote obtained his Bachelors from Butler University and his Masters in Music Performance as a Graduate Teacher & New Music resident at the University of Illinois. A member of numerous bands including Panoramic View, The Island Time Steel Band, and The White-Eyed Lizard Band, he also performs as a freelance musician with various bands throughout Southern New England.
