About The Copacetics
On the Jamaican music scene for almost 10 years now, The Copacetics are a 7 piece Reggae/Ska band that bring authentic Jamaican rhythms to set the best mood for your event! From their catchy original songs, to the traditional tunes dating back to the birth of the Jamaican groove, The Copacetics will have you dancing, drinking and enjoying the Summer life! With fans across the country and overseas, they've shared the stage with such legends as Steel Pulse, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Yellowman, Third World, The Skints, The Mighty Mystic, The Skatalites, The Slackers, Fishbone, The Toasters, Badfish, Bim Skala Bim, King Hammond, The English Beat, The Pietasters, Roddy Radiation & Adam Flymo Birch from The Specials, The Scofflaws, King Django, Ryan from Catch 22, The Agents, Don Minott, and many more! Their debut self titled album, which was released at the start of 2015, has already won “Album of the Month” on Reggae Steady Ska, and “Blood From A Stone” spent multiple weeks in the Top 5 on California's “Ska Parade” radio countdown! With their second record on the shelves, and numerous award nominations to their credit, The Copacetics were hailed as a “dynasty” by Motif Magazine Music Awards after winning Best Reggae/Ska Act for the past four years running! 2018 brought new success when the band stepped it up to win the Motif Award for "Best Act," which came with a recording contract at National Sound Studios. The Copacetics have taken on recording projects with international superstars including Adam Flymo Birch (The Specials/The Toasters/Laurel Aitken), and Victor Rice (Producer: The Slackers, The Pietasters, Dub Side of the Moon). Their 3rd full length studio album will be released in Summer 2020! For more information, videos and additional content, check The Copacetics out on Facebook!
